ILight dual IPL

Why choose iLight?

01

Technology

iLight simultaneously treats skin using IPL and RF. Each with individually adjustable energy levels. iLight IPL machine treats inflammation and patients often get results even after the first treatment.

03

Doctor Trained

Optometric Aesthetics prides their trainings because they are done by a doctor. You and your staff will be trained on the iLight IPL by Dr. Chism.

02

Safety

iLight uses the best xenon lamp to provide consistent energy levels. The water chilled head is one of the coolest which allows treatment on all skin types. The RF energy can be increased in patients with darker pigmented skin where IPL energy must be lower.

04

Affordable

I keep costs down on my end to keep costs down for you. No sales reps, no marketing, no middle man.

IPL with Radio Frequency

The iLight IPL machine uses the latest technology that includes intense pulsed light with radio frequency at the same time. IPL energy can be adjusted up and down, and RF energy is adjustable too.

IPL is thought to improve dry eye symptoms by photothermolysis and warming of the mebomian glands. The exact mechanism is unknown but these are the best explained reasons:

  • Restores form and function of meibomian glands [11]

  • Destroys telangiectasia vessels on lid that perpetuate inflammation [6]

  • Reduces Demodex load [8]

  • Decreases inflammatory markers IL6 and 1L7 in tear film [7]

  • Reduces tear osmolarity [9,10]

  • Increases TBUT [11]

  • Warming of MG to facilitate expression [5]

  • Improves cellular functions such as collagen synthesis, fibroblasts regeneration, motility in immunoregulatory cells [2,4]

  • Induces neurotrophic effect on ocular surface and cornea and a neuroimmunomodulatory effect on the meibomian glands [1,3]

Radio Frequency heats up the deeper layers of the skin and warming of the meibomian glands helps facilitate expression [5].

Testimonials

iLight IPL - Love it! I have had the iLight IPL for 6 months now, and I'm so happy I have this option for my patients! Due to the affordability and quality of this product, I have had it paid off for a couple of months and I am now confident with how and when to prescribe it for my patients.

I have become very comfortable treating dry eyes and rosacea, and I continue to build on that foundation for additional uses (chalazia, acne, aesthetics). I love the ability to include radiofrequency energy in addition to the IPL when indicated by skin type or other clinical judgment.

I appreciate the immediate customizability on a simple touch screen display, in addition to preset standard settings for any treatment goal I have. I also look forward to utilizing more the additional accessories and features included in the purchase (eyelid handle with smaller tip, YAG laser, etc) - as I branch out from my simple beginning in just focusing on MGD.

From the day he delivered the unit, Dr. Chism has made the purchase and training process smooth and simple. He provided in office training, efficient reference sheets with written protocol for any treatment goal I have, and he has been quickly responsive by text, phone, and email for any questions or guidance I have sought. He is a knowledgeable resource, and always willing to share his knowledge.

I highly recommend the iLight, as it will open opportunities to continue helping patients and your practice. There is no subscription, no ridiculous service agreement, and no buyer's remorse. I love a few pieces of equipment I have, but this is the best value by the standard I set, which is legitimately improving patient health and bringing a realized return on investment. I sincerely thank Dr. Mike Chism for letting me know about the iLight when I met him last August. It now forms the backbone of the several dry eye treatments I offer in clinic, and I believe it always will.
